Another useful feature of Microsoft Publisher is WordArt. This tool allows you to manipulate text in a variety of unusual ways - you can stretch it, flip it, curve it, and create a number of other effects.
Open a new blank full-page publication. Click the WordArt button. This opens the WordArt Gallery. Each button represents a pre-programmed
text style that you can use for titles, captions, journaling, and other text applications. As an example, select the third button in the top row. Click OK.
You now see the Edit WordArt Text window. Here, you can change the font style and size, add boldface or italics, and of course, type the text
itself. Type "Bubble Gum" into the text box. Click OK. Publisher automatically curves the text for you. Just as with text boxes, you can resize, rotate, or move the WordArt wherever you want.
You can also use the WordArt toolbar to alter the text if you change your mind. Besides changing the wording, you can change the colors,
outline style, shape, and more.
Practice working with WordArt. Try several different styles from the Gallery, and alter them in a number of different ways using the toolbar.
