This is one of the four intake towers used by the Hoover Dam.  This one gives the current Arizona time. This is Mike, standing in front of the Visitor's Center. This is the view looking over the edge of the Hoover Dam, away from Lake Mead. This monument stands outside the Visitor's Center.  It's dedicated to the people who designed and built the dam. This is me, after the tour, feeding the ducks near the spillway. This is the spillway.  I believe it's only been activated once -- during the flood of 1983.

The afore-mentioned ducks. This is an example of the tile floor put down by Italian contractors.  If you're curious, ask Mike the story behind them. This picture shows you several generators (the big round things with the red lights above them) and two cranes used to move the engines. The tour takes you to the bottom of the dam, and you can see the tunneling that was done. The Visitor's Center The view of the dam from the bottom.
