Pregnancy
Images And now for Baby #2! The following photo was taken the night we went to the hospital, thinking I was in labor. For more on that story, read the pregnancy diary. Mike thinks it's cute that my tummy now makes a kind of shelf for plates and bowls, so he snapped off a couple of pictures. This picture was taken at almost 8 months. I thought I was huge _then_. Sometimes looking pregnant just sneaks up on you, kind of like gray hairs. You don't realize it happening until it's so obvious there's no going back. These pictures were taken at quilt camp, while I was about 29 weeks along. The following photos are stills taken from my last ultrasound video, which was done on May 10th. At the time, I was 2 days shy of 28 weeks along.
This was me on April 22nd, picking up my quilts from the St. John Stock Show and Fair. That puts me right at 5 1/2 months. Gosh, you can sure tell, huh? I am now no longer showing - I am now FAT. :) Don't worry, I'm happy-fat. IT'S A BOY!!!! This is what March 14th's ultrasound looked like. See that swelling belly? It's not my fault!! That's Adam in there. If you look very closely, you can almost make him out on the ultrasound. Of course, that's the fabulous Dr. Parsons on the left.
This ultrasound was done on December 27, 1999. We were able to see the heartbeat. :) Beats pretty fast, by the way! I've taken to calling the baby LB for Little Blob, which is about all you can see, even in this print of the ultrasound. The doctor was kind enough to draw an arrow to the baby. :) I plan on having Dr. Mark Parsons (the most fabulous general practitioner in the WORLD, btw) tell me the sex of the baby when he can see it in the ultrasound (that's only a little over a week away, on March 14th!!!).
See that line on the right? That's our baby!! A nice, bold, bright red line. This test was done in late November, right after I began to suspect that I might be pregnant. I am. I am due on August 4th, 2000. |
