This is a little thing I made from the
book Mike gave me about garden-inspired paper-pieced patterns. I played
with some of the decorative stitches on my machine in the borders. It now
hangs proudly in the bathroom, right next to the toilet! :)

This is a double Irish chain pattern (the
yellow and orange squares make the chains) with applique'ed leaves. It's a
fall theme so I called it Irish Autumn. 09/99 |

I made this in my first class. The class was called
"Mini-Mysteries", so you don't know what you're going to end up with until it's
all over. These are called buzzsaws. The colored parts make little spinning buzzsaw
blades, and so do the white pieces between them. 08/99 |

The quilt guild issued a
challenge - you had to make a quilt using the dark green you see here. I'm
not going to enter this one - my points are all over the place, but it was a
good learning experience... I call it my humble quilt.

I made these tulips using a method I learned in a
class called paper-piecing. It's basically like quilt-by-number, but it's a lot harder
than it sounds. 08/99 |
